It has recently been discovered on social media that one of Georgetown's beloved restaurants, Thai Garden is for sale. The owner, Chaiyuth Satta is selling the business to care for his wife, Sudarut who is battling lung cancer. Help us raise money toward Chaiyuth, his wife, and 3 children during this difficult time.

Chaiyuth came to the US from Khon Kaen, Thailand 32 years ago and created an authentic Thai restaurant in Georgetown; a place that many consider special and are heartbroken to see close.

Not only was this restaurant unique to Georgetown, but so was the familiar and friendly way Chaiyuth treated his customers. Always in the back cooking, but always taking time to poke his head out to say "hi" or ask about family members with a big smile on his face. Always wondering how he kept up with all the sit-down and to-go orders. Always amazed with the consistency of the cuisine. These are the details that make a small business so special and loved. Details that always make us smile when we think about Thai Garden.

As a frequenter of the restaurant and friend of the community, I wanted everyone who feels the same way to have an opportunity to show our support for this small business owner and all this family has accomplished. Such a beloved and familiar place that we will miss deeply.
