Wife with Liver Transplant

My dear wife was diagnosed 15 years ago with liver failure, on April 11 2019 she received a liver transplant. She already had many other medical issues due to a leg infection 7 years ago. She is in a lot of pain from the surgery and will need home care. I will need to take a leave of absence from work to stay home and care for her. While my employer is okay with this I will not be paid for my time. We don't have a lot of saving because of my wife's on going medical issues so not having an income will cause a large hardship for us. 

She will be discharged from the hospital in the next few days and then sent to rehab for a time.
