Wig fund for Shannon Chatfield
Donation protected
My dear friend Shannon has stage 4 breast cancer and is starting a new line of treatment that will make her lose her hair. I am raising money to help her get a really nice wig (or two!) and ideally, it would be great to raise a little extra to help her with other treatment-related bills that are coming in. Anything we can raise beyond wig money will go towards other expenses.
I met Shannon in April 2021, when I was in chemo and she was done with her first round of breast cancer treatment. We became fast friends, having brunch around town, going to the beach and camping over the summer, swapping stories of cancer treatment and recovery, getting together with our book club, and just generally goofing off and having fun. In the fall of 2021, Shannon experienced her first recurrence. Now, at 42, her cancer is progressing and she is switching treatments for the fourth time.
We're hopeful that this next line of treatment will help stop the progression for a long time and afford Shannon a high quality of life, but it does cause hair loss. Nice wigs are very expensive! Let's show Shannon some love and pitch in to get her something really great.
Thank you, we appreciate your love and support!!
