Wiggins Family Medical Fund

This GoFundMe is in benefit of Curtis Wiggins who is fighting to regain full capacities after a severe COVID-19 infection. Curtis is the beloved husband to Abby and the amazing father to Monroe and Sawyer.

 

Curtis was first admitted to Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, FL on August 9th with a positive prognosis. Unfortunately, he fell more ill over time as the virus attacked his lungs and was intubated and admitted to ICU on August 13th. After a long, scary month in ICU fighting clots, strokes and other catastrophic complications, Curtis beat the odds and was released from Sacred Heart and eventually removed from the ventilator. Praise be to God.

 

While the path from here is unknown, we do know this –Curtis is a fighter. He is showing remarkable improvement in movement, speech and is now breathing on his own. The next stage in care for Curtis is in-patient neurological rehabilitation at the renowned Shepherd Center in Atlanta, GA. 

 

Our prayers continue to be that of comfort for his family whose steadfast support has been an integral part of his healing and for his two boys to once again have their daddy home, where is he meant to be.

 

This fundraiser is to help with medical expenses and financial support while Curtis, a small business owner, is unable to work and provide for his family. We want to alleviate the costs of ongoing rehabilitation and medical expenses so that Abby can be with Curtis during the next stage of in-patient care and while Curtis is on an indefinite hiatus.
