Wigs for Kids Donation
Alopecia affects many kids, teens and adults throughout Australia. Wigs for Kids is an organisation that makes wigs for kids with aopecia and raises awarness through doing fundraising events such as cycling across the country.
Wigs for kids take real hair donations to make into their wigs. People who donate their hair cut of over 30cm of it so that is it long enough to be made into a wig. Wigs cost $400 so what I am aiming to do it raise enough money to give to a child with Alopecia and give a hair donation to the company to help another child be able to get one.
My hair currently is nearly long enough to sit on, it goes to the bottom of my hips. For my hair donation I will be cutting approx. 45cm of my hair off. My hair donation will hopefully be made by the end of January 2017 if not it will be in early Febuary.
