Wild Horse Cafe Employee Transition Fund
Donation protected
In the wee hours of Saturday February 15th, this local favorite eatery on the Ohio River, The Wild Horse Cafe, caught fire. A rapid and robust response from local fire stations exterminated the flames quickly, preserving many treasures inside (including the classic old bar) and saving Bubbles the fish. Thankfully, nobody was injured in the fire. The structural damage to the roof is significant, and while insurance covers the business it does not cover the employees, who are all now faced with finding jobs elsewhere. The recovery and rebuilding process will take time.
The Wild Horse Cafe was founded with sustainability of community as its primary goal. The dedicated staff and loyal patrons are evidence of that! Please donate what you can so that we can support our 36 employees during this difficult transition.
