Wild Turtle Rehabilitation

Hi, my name is Tracy Zustra. I am a licensed wildlife rehabilitator. I am asking for donations to help with the costs of Turtle Rehabilitation, which includes medications, food, habitats, other medical supplies and egg incubating equipment. I currently have 2 eastern Painted turtles. The first one is a male that was hit by a car and sustained serious injuries to his shell and will be in my care for at least a year if not longer until his shell grows back and is completely healed. The second turtle is a female eastern Painted turtle who was attacked by an animal and is missing both front feet and has a severe infection in both of her eyes. I am also incubating 39 snapping turtle eggs and will be keeping the hatchling over winter to get them strong and healthy for a release next spring. Turtle season is still underway and with many turtles getting ready to lay eggs they have a dangerous journey a head of them! Let's hope they make it safely and if they don't I am ready to take them in.
