Wildfire Relief Fund for Epona Rise
On July 10 2021 a wildfire broke out across the road from our beloved retreat centre and home to our herd of rescue horse herd of 28. The fire is being named Embleton Mountain Fire.
On July 11th we are issued an evacuation notice and evacuated our herd to be safe from the fires.
We are creating the go fund me to help support with the costs of providing hay, transport and gas to tend to our herd that are living an hour from us and to give us some support as we navigate the fire that is right outside our door.
We have been relying on the kindness of our community to help with the hauling and providing a temporary home for our herd until it is safe to come back to our retreat space.
Summer is our busiest time at the retreat season, we are devastated not just from the fear of safety to our home and our herd, but also to our retreat business especially coming out of COVID.
We are grateful to receive any support that you are able to, we are uncertain how long we are going to be under evacuation for as the fire is still burning out of control.
We will continue to update people as to what is happening with the fires as we go day by day.
Thank you to our amazing community that continues to support us and our herd.
