Wildfire Wolfdog Rescue

Donation protected
Background: A friend and fellow wolfdog owner who lives in Estacada Oregon has had to evacuate all her animals. The town is at full threat from the flames. Mayor says everybody out.

We wrangled up the last of the untouchable skittish animals just as the order went out, and are now heading back to Wildheart Homestead in Washington with 8 wolfdogs, a bunch of cats, and as many chickens as we could wrangle. The owner will stay with us until we know the fate of her property. We have no idea how long the animals will have to be living with us at the homestead.

Please. If you can offer anything to assist, whether it’s food, water troughs/bowls, fencing materials, or volunteering your time + energy, please reach out. This is an incredible situation. Absolutely unprecedented. We need every bit of assistance we can get.

Current top priority is setting up secure containment for these animals during their stay with us.  Each enclosure costs around $330 to build from escape-proof materials. Also included are food, shelter, and water costs for the animals for an estimated time period of two weeks, though it’s possible they’ll need to remain with us for months. Every little bit helps!
