Hi everyone. My name is Judy and I'm fundraising for my Dad, Wilhelm Martens. We, as a family are facing the costs of a funeral, and a plot to bury him in. The casket will cost $800 plus shipping, and a plot will start at $4,995. His headstone will be a flat marker, in order to once again keep the cost down. We want to keep the flowers down to the basics as well. I will pick a bouquet from his beloved flowers at our home to place in his hands so he has a part of his garden with him when he is laid to rest. We are not a wealthy family, and we need all the help we can get. I started this gofundme because I have faith in my fellow man, I've experienced the love and support of many incredibly kind, understanding, and generous people. I'm hoping to feel the support again from all of you who knew my dad, or my family, or my brothers and sisters. With the funds raised, we will be buying a plot at a cemetery, and the rest will go towards a casket, and the funeral costs. This is a heartbreaking time for my family, we just lost my little sister quite suddenly, so we just went though the loss of her, and the costs that came with it. She was only 39. The last thing we'll need when he breathes his last is to worry about how to proceed. Please help if you can. I know times are tough everywhere, but even a small donation will help.
