Hiiii, I'm Mads. I'm a travel nurse looking for a bit of help. A couple of weeks ago, my airstream, the home I've been living in, was stolen while I was 10,000+ miles away visiting a friend. It's tough being a travel nurse and feeling so consistently displaced; after an assignment, unless you own a home somewhere else, there is no place for you to go. You don't have a consistent place to lay your head or drawers to chuck your clothes. I bought this airstream over a year ago to help heal many of the issues I had with feeling distraught and displaced when I left a spot that I called my home. I named it Willamina, meaning protection, in German. She did a marvelous job protecting me and providing a space to rest and recover. Now, my dog, Prancer, and I are homeless and trying to navigate the legalities of getting our airstream back. Due to my constant shift in "home"/ residency and the impermanence of my nomad life, it is challenging to get a loan, leaving me with the humble option of simply asking for help. Even just a bit, Prancer and I would be so, so grateful <3
