Emergency Moving Fund 4 Will & Stephanie - Nov 30
Donation protected
Some of you already know, but for those that don’t, we have been bullied by our landlady since making her, through code enforcement, clean up her junked items in our backyard earlier this year. (We asked nicely for months first.) She has now given us a 60-day notice to move. In fact, we have until 11/30 to relocate.
We spent the first 30 days consulting several lawyers to determine our rights, but apparently, renters' rights stop short of, and are unfortunately quite limited when it comes to, single-family homes. (We have been told this is just the way the law was made.) In a nutshell: we have no choice; we have to move.
The problem is, we don't have any money saved for a move this month. We have the income and credit to be approved for another house, but we weren’t planning to relocate until next summer - by June, we could easily do this, but doing it now is a stretch, to say the very least.
The timing for this also couldn't be worse. We both work, and Stephanie not only works part-time, she goes to school part-time and also cares for our infant full-time, as well as shuffling a preteen to and from school, gymnastics and soccer. Needless to say, our life balance is quite delicate, and this is a wrench that could damage that balance.
The Solution: We need help coming up with the $7-$9k required to make this happen without too much upset to our school/work/life/family responsibilities. Several loved ones suggested a GoFundMe, and we were hesitant, but we were reassured this is what it's for. So here we are, asking humbly for help. This is going to take a miracle to pull off, BUT with the support of our beloved community, we think we might be able to do it.
Also, we'd like to acknowledge that this is, and has been, a difficult time for many people already, so thank you for even considering helping. If all you can do is say a prayer, please do so. But if you can help at all with a donation of any size, you’ll be helping a small family out of a pretty big pickle.
Thank you. We love you. Let’s go dancing soon!
