William (Billy) Ashby

William (Billy) Ashby of Charleston, passed away unexpectedly at age 31 on September 12, 2023, at his home in West Ashley.

Billy is survived by his fiancé Christina Dickinson, his son Adrian James Ashby, his mother Christina Ashby, his brother Nickolas Pierce, and his grandfather Billie Ashby. Billy was preceded in death by his father David Pierce.

Billy was born on July 29, 1992, in Auburn, Washington to Christina Ashby and David Pierce. Billy spent most of his childhood in Bonney Lake and Tacoma Washington. Billy attended Franklin Pierce High School in Tacoma, Washington. Billy relocated to the Charleston area in 2014 and met Christina shortly after and they had their son Adrian in April of 2015. Since moving to South Carolina Billy made his living in the restaurant industry, most recently employed as a cook at the Player’s Pub at the Kiawah Island Golf Course.

Billy was a devoted father, partner, and provider for his family. Billy loved reptiles and cars and was passionate about everything that he took an interest in. Billy was a kind and welcoming soul that never shied away from conversation or sharing his true opinions on any matter. If Billy found a friend in you, you had a friend for life. Loyalty was engrained in his moral fiber. Billy will be greatly missed by his family, friends, coworkers, and everyone that was involved in his life.
