William Howard Thomas Byrd Jr.

It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of William Howard Thomas Byrd Jr. Known by many as Will, Bill, Billy Jr, and a few others, we are certain that anyone who had the opportunity to be in his presence felt his genuine spirit of kindness and love surrounding them. Billy was a loving son, brother, and family member. Although he struggled with heart issues at a fairly young age, he had a heart of solid gold and did a lot for those who knew him and loved him. His caring heart is how he will be remembered by all those who loved him. His last stay in the hospital was long and resulted in him having a stroke. Even on his last day he was in good spirits and was glad to reach each milestone which we all believed would lead him back home to us. But that was not to be. Although he was doing well and recovering, once admitted into a rehab facility, he suddenly passed on the same day they were attempting to find home care for him. We love him so much and will miss him greatly. We thought we had time to get his affairs in order. Unfortunately, he passed away and did not have life insurance or any savings. We are attempting to raise money so that we can give him the Homegoing that he deserves. Any additional funds will be given to the Gift of Life Michigan and Michigan Heart Foundation.
