William Brooks Day (Bill)

On Sunday the 15th September we said good bye to Bill, a true original. He had a quick wit and a wicked sense of humour. He loved nature, and had a wealth of knowledge which he shared through gentle conversation with his children and grandchildren. He taught us all how to fish, appreciate native flowers, identify birds, and enjoy life. He was endless patient and incredible listener. He made us his world and we will miss him always.

After ten months of living with cancer Bill moved to Albany Hospice. In this incredible place he received the most compassionate care. The team did everything so that Bill was comfortable and we could focus on him. They allowed Bill to have a good death and for us to let him go in a supported way.

We are so incredibly grateful to them and want to help them provide the same outstanding care to other families. Thank you in advance for your contribution it means so much to us.

More information about Albany Hospice Inc: Our Mission is to provide warm and expert palliative care in a home-like environment to all in the Great Southern with serious, incurable illnesses. We will do this by supporting patients, their families and friends including assistance in the care of those needing palliative care who chose to remain at home. Each year we fund raise $500,000 to provide free palliative care to those in the Great South region (WA, Australia) and your support will help us to reach that goal.
