William Robert Hair, age 35, was tragically taken from us too soon, leaving behind a void in the hearts of all who knew him. He was born in Downers Grove, Illinois, the beloved son of William Hair (Maureen Prendergast) and Margaret Kussmann Hair (Jack Malone). William was the cherished grandson of the late Robert and Geraldine Kussmann, as well as William and Roseanne Hair. He joins his stepbrother John Malone in eternal rest.
William's memory will forever be cherished by his dear brother Matthew Hair. He also leaves behind 8 loving step-siblings, 16 aunts and uncles, 20 first cousins, and 24 second cousins.
Billy, as he was affectionately known, had an infectious zest for life. He was deeply loved by countless cherished friends and coworkers, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Billy's thirst for knowledge was insatiable, and his taste in music was remarkable. He found joy in philosophy, literature, and various forms of art. Nature was his sanctuary, and he found solace in the mountains, leisurely walks along Lake Michigan, and bird-watching at North Pond in Lincoln Park.
His passion for serving others knew no bounds, and he dedicated himself to a career that exemplified his compassionate spirit. Billy held the role of lead server at Eden restaurant, where he touched the lives of many through his genuine care and warm demeanor.
