William Rousseau House Fire - Recovery Fund

Donation protected
Hi Everyone,

I am reaching out because a tragedy has struck my family.

On the morning of September 21, 2019, my brother William lost everything he owned in a house fire. He did not cause this fire. He did notice something that smelled like an electrical fire, and therefore he began searching the house. He found no flames but decided to call 911. Fortunately, he reacted in time to get his roommates out of the house and the fire department there in time to save the rest of the building. But William's living area was completely destroyed. Unfortunately, new tenants had just moved in and the house was in the process of establishing a new renter's insurance policy. This brief lapse in coverage now means that William must begin to rebuild his life from scratch.

William is a hard-working musician and model in Los Angeles. After 10+ years of saving and living within modest means, he had finally built himself a professional-grade recording studio in his room (complete with instruments, microphones, speakers, etc) and a collection of distinctive clothing to keep him competitive in the modeling industry. These items were not simply William's possessions: they were his livelihood as well. They are now destroyed.

As a family, we are rich in many things, but the truth is that money isn't one of them. If you or anyone you know is willing to donate ANY amount of money to help William rebuild his life, it would be genuinely life-changing for all of us.

Our family is grateful beyond words for the goodwill, kindness, prayer, and material support that is already helping to sustain us in this difficult time. It has been so uplifting to see the outpouring of love from friends, family, and strangers. If you are able to join us in this demonstration of love, now is the time to rally that love around William.

Finally and most importantly, we give thanks to God for preserving the irreplaceable lives of William and his three roommates. The truth is that each of them could easily have died. We know that their lives have been spared for a reason. Therefore, we hold fast to our faith that "God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes," and we take courage in God's divine promise: "Behold, I am making all things new."

With gratitude, humility, and love, we live in hope.

Yours sincerely,

Charles Rousseau, on behalf of all who love and support my dear brother <3
