William Wallace Murals - Lanark town centre

Lanark Community Development Trust is raising money to support an exciting project telling the story of William Wallace in Lanark.

Two dramatic gable end murals showing i) Wallace and the burning of Lanark Castle and ii) Wallace and his followers finding refuge in the woods by the Clyde (initial artwork pictured here) will be at the centre of the project, which will transform a rundown site in the heart of the town. We hope the finished area will be a real attraction to both tourists and residents and a source of local pride.

We and our partners, Discover Lanark, are proud to be working with mural artists Ali Smith and Rogue-One from Art Pistol. You may have seen their amazing work on the Glasgow Mural Trail.
