Williams College Fundraiser for Palestinian Aid
Donation protected
The humanitarian needs in Gaza are immense and growing by the minute. Palestine Red Crescent Society teams are staying and serving the people who are in need across the Gaza Strip. As a part of the Williams community, I implore you to donate what you can to support Palestinian life.
PRCS's mission is to "to provide humanitarian assistance as well as health and social services to Palestinians whenever and wherever needed. It works towards preventing and allaying human suffering, protecting life and health, ensuring the respect of human dignity, preventing disease, and promoting health, social care and volunteering both in times of peace and war as well as during emergencies, crises and disasters." On October 15th, the PRCS released an Emergency Appeal for financial support to provide "critical emergency and life-saving support to the people in Gaza and the West Bank, including the continuation of the functioning of EMS services, health services at the 2 PRCS hospitals in the center and south of Gaza Strip, as well as support to public hospitals; care for and support to IDPs (internally displaced persons) with NFIs (non-food items), health and MHPSS (mental health and psychosocial support), as well as water and food supply." PRCS continuously releases statements on their work, which included supporting the entry of 20 trucks full of aid into Gaza on October 21st.
