William's continued medical expenses and therapies

Dear beloved family and friends,
We are reaching out to seek support in sustaining our son's therapy programs. Many of you know that William was diagnosed with the following conditions at 3 months old.
Conditions:
- Chondrodysplasia Punctata
- Congenital Hypertonia
- Unspecified Disease of the Nervous System
- Unspecified Dysphagia
- Global Developmental Delay
- Abnormal Findings of the Central Nervous system
- Muscle spasms
- Pachygyria
- Polymicrogyria
- Schizencephaly
In February of 2024, we received the disheartening news that our insurance would no longer cover William's therapies to improve his conditions. Despite our efforts to appeal, which included submitting three letters from different doctors and therapists along with detailed prescriptions and our own letter, our appeal was denied on March 20th.
We wept and laid our appeal at the feet of Jesus.
“We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on you.”

We find solace in turning to the Lord for strength. We trust in His goodness and believe He will guide us through this challenging time.
We do praise God that William was accepted on Long Term Care, which will help with our hospital bills and the specialists we see at Phoenix Children’s Hospital. But it does not cover the alternative therapies that have proven to be making a huge difference in William’s development.
We are requesting prayers and financial donations to continue supporting William's medical needs. Donations can be one-time, monthly, or at any frequency. We appreciate all contributions from the bottom of our hearts!
Our monthly medical expenses are as follows:
- Functional Neurology: $900-$1,800 (The prices are dependent upon how many sessions we do a month, $900 for 4 sessions and $1,800 for 8 sessions.)
- Sound Movement Therapy: $1,000-$2,000 (pricing changes depending on how many intensives we do a month, we try to do two a month.)
- Hyperbaric Chamber Therapy: $1,200 (we try to go 4 times a week)
- Myofunctional therapy: $278 (twice a month)
- Craniosacral Fascial Therapy: $630-$850 (1 intensive a month)
- Totaling: $4,008-$6,128 a month
Specialty expenses:
- We are also hoping to raise money for William's own chamber, which can cost anywhere from $6,000-$10,000, eliminating a $1,200 monthly expense and saving money in the long run.
- We had Craniosacral Fascial Therapy intensive in March that cost about $800
- We have an intensive coming up in April with a highly certificated feeding specialist which costs $5,600.
- We also have an intensive in May in California, costing $1,200, but that doesn't include travel.
- We have another intensive in July with a DMI specialist that will cost about $4,000.
Apart from all those expenses we also currently owe Phoenix Children's Hospital for therapies rendered last year, which is over $2,000. Going forward, long-term care will help us with hospital expenses, but not the alternative therapies mentioned above.
Last year, we had over $30,000 in medical expenses that were not covered by our insurance, and over $100,000 that was covered. But now without therapy coverage, we will be paying these expenses out of pocket.

These therapies are meant to be opportunities to support the continual growth and development of our son, but our hope is not placed in them. Much like our walk with Jesus, our actions reflect the faith and hope found in Him, but our growth is found in the God.
“I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow. So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow. The one who plants and the one who waters have one purpose, and they will each be rewarded according to their own labor.” - 1 Corinthians 3:6-8
We know God is in control and He will give us what we need. He is our hope and salvation. We might struggle and stumble, but we know that eternity is where our eyes and heart must be focused.
“And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.” - Philippians 4:19
