Willie and Emily Needham's Family Crisis

Willie and Emily Needham are a foster and adoptive family who have taken in not only foster children but have adopted several high special needs children as well. Emily has spent countless hours running a FREE foster closet, Tiny Threads, where ANY foster or kinship family can come in and shop. They have spent the last several years in sacrifice for children in their county that need a safe place to live, whether for a month or forever.

Their son, Jack, was born with Cerebral Palsy and a shunt was placed in infancy to deal with hydrocephalus. Last week, the shunt malfunctioned and he was airlifted to a major medical center in Westchester. This has been a nightmare for this family as they are hours from home and have not only their biological children but the 2 adopted high special needs children and 3 foster children at home as well. All of this as Jack has undergone surgeries and medical treatments every day.

They are traveling long distances every day, switching between home and the hospital. Meanwhile, Willie is missing work due to childcare and the back and forth of relieving each other to go home and get some sleep.
