SGT Willie Cook Trust Fund
My Brother SGT Willie Cook was gunned downed in East Chicago, IN
on February 2, 2013 while visiting our grandmother. He recently
returned from Afghanistan in September 2012 after serving a year with the
713th EN CO out of Valparaiso, IN. My Brother's car
was shot 15 times. My Brother SGT Cook was found with his seat belt unbuckled
coving his son. At the point of gun fire he chose to shield his son, rather
than flee. It is because of this action his son is here and how he received the
one fatal round, of 15 shots fired total, to the "back" of his head. He was a
"Hero to the end."
The Army is giving a lot of support, but his children, especially
his son Antoine (who was wounded in the gun fire) need a lot of support. This
website is for SGT Cook's Children and the mothers to help provide in this
time of need. All moneys will go first to the Funeral, then Medical bills, then
to the children and mothers.
Charnise Lee (SGT Cook's Little Sister)
Thank you.
