DONATION PERIOD HAS ENDED! THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING WILLOW'S SURGERY! THIS CAMPAIGN WILL DEACTIVATE AT THE END OF THE MONTH ONCE WITHDRAWALS ARE COMPLETE.
This is Willow, a deaf, double merle Aussie, rescued by a loving couple in Colorado. Her story began when her breeder attempted to dump her and her sister over Willow Bridge in Virginia, when a good samaritan got them just in time. Ben and Nicole knew they had to give this beautiful, worthy girl a home and adopted her through the Australian Shepherd Advocates rescue organization. Soon after signing the adoption papers, Ben and Nicole learned of her heart murmur. They took her to a cardiologist to run an echocardiogram and she was diagnosed with pulmonic stenosis, which obstructs blood flow from the right ventricle to the pulmonary artery. Without the balloon valvuloplasty surgery, Willow would start to experience severe symptoms of an overworked heart, and would die between the ages of 2 and 3 years old. Symptoms such as heavy or rapid breathing, shortness of breath, fatigue and a rapid heart rate would impact the quality and eventually shorten the length of her life. Willow is the most loving and adventurous pup. She loves to hike, retrieve balls in the snow, play with other dogs, climb all over her owners, and give endless amounts of love and affection to everyone she meets. Ben and Nicole love Willow more than anything and want her to live a long, happy life. Any support you can provide would alleviate the unexpected financial burden of her condition and this surgery.
This campaign will end March 12th, 2019, the morning of her heart surgery.
