Willowwind MLK Service Day

At Willowwind, kindergarten through sixth grade students celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day by serving others.  We know that MLK Jr. stood up for what he believed was important, helped others, and made the world a better place.  We have enoyed working in multi-age groups to find ways that we as students can make a positive impact on our community.  

This year's list of service projects include a series of little free libraries, partnering with the local crisis center, helping a food bank, kits for the homeless, and building a picnic table to leave as a legacy for future students.  We have already completed several projects, but to take action with the rest of these, we will need your help.

Please consider making a donation by Friday, January 13th so that we can be prepared to complete our projects on Monday the 16th.  The money we raise will be split among our service groups as needed.  Students have committed a great deal of time and effort to planning our service day and we are excited to help people!! However, we can't do it without you.  Thank you for all your help and support!
