Will’s Vision Quest
Let me start by saying that I had a hard time deciding whether or not to post this for all of the obvious reasons, not the least of which is my own inability to help him myself right now. That said, more than one friend who knows Will and his journey encouraged me to do this. Let me also say that if you can’t donate, your well-wishes for his journey are EQUALLY appreciated. Many of you know of my son Will’s long-term struggle with depression and it’s unattractive cousin, anxiety. He had another major setback two and a half years ago, when his symptoms became too much and he left his junior year of college and returned home to Los Angeles. To say these last two years have been hard for him would be an understatement, but all along, he kept trying. In February he began a 5-day-a week, 9-week course of TMS at UCLA, and for the first time in a very long time, a smile crossed his lips, he started laughing again, he was able to leave the house on his own, drive, interact with strangers. For any of you that suffer from, or have someone you care about that suffers from these debilitating illnesses, please feel free to reach out so I can tell you more about TMS. HERE COMES THE ASK: Starting in May, Will and his high school friend are going to set out to hike the entirety of 2,190 miles of the Appalachian Trail. As you can imagine, six months on the trail comes at a steep price – the equipment alone in in the thousands, and so, I’ve started a Go Fund Me in his name, so that he can reclaim his life. Any amount is greatly appreciated, as is your love and support (past and present). If you have any equipment that you can share, that would be greatly appreciated. For all he is and all he can be, I want to make this happen for Will. Thank you.
