Help the Wilson's find a home
Donation protected
Jessica Wilson and her three kids, Faith (16), Dylan (13), and Jensen (9), found themselves in a horrible, unexpected situation as of yesterday. Their old landlords gave them plenty of notice that they needed to move out of their place by August 1st, and have been looking since March. There was an ad they came across on craigslist for a 3 bedroom house. They had gotten in contact with the landlord by the name of Jason Nathan Leblanc (they would come to find out that this wasn't his real name and that his name is actually Jeremy David Oakley). He scammed them out of $1900 (half a month's rent and damage deposit), promising them a newly renovated home yesterday when they were intended to move in, just for them to arrive and find out he had left the house unfinished and skipped town with their money. They are now left without a home. Between the money that was taken from them by Mr. Oakley, moving costs (which they'll have to pay again once they find a new place), storage fees and hotel fees that they have to pay as a result of this situation, along with another damage deposit and rent at a new place, they need at least $3-5000 to cover these costs, money that they didn't expect to need and simply don't have. Every dollar helps, or if you can't help with funds even help finding them a reliable place to live. Let's help this beautiful family stay off the streets and find a home.
