Windham Maine Family in Need of Help

Tommy and Nancy Doyle have been longtime residents of Windham, ME and are in need of their friends and family’s support. Tommy was recently diagnosed with a Pancoast Tumor which is a rare form of lung cancer. Unfortunately this is Tommy’s second time in his life battling cancer and due to the level of care that is needed Maine has stated that they’re unable to care for him and have referred him to Boston, this is Tommy’s only option for survival. With the plan that they have set for him he needs to be in Boston 5 days a week for 6 to 8 weeks for radiation and chemotherapy. They are both going to have to be out of work in order to be out of state for this extended amount of time. Tommy and Nancy have always been considerate and kind and have always helped everyone in every way that they could. They have many friends and family standing behind them in this difficult time and any help would be greatly appreciated and will be put to good use. Even with the insurance they are facing significant expenses for housing in Boston, transportation, lost wages and also any leftover medical bills not covered by insurance. Nancy did get approved for the time off to care for Tommy but unfortunately will not be receiving any pay during that time. All funds raised will go directly to all of these extra costs for them.
It is extremely humbling for our family to be reaching out and asking for help in this way. However, the past year and a half of been extremely difficult and has left us with no choice. Thanks so much for your consideration to contribute.
