Window replacement and security upgrades for CBI
Donation protected
Congregation Beth Israel (CBI), a synagogue in Walla Walla, has had three incidents of vandalism in the last month, in which two large plate glass windows were destroyed or damaged. One large window was completely shattered while another has had multiple attempts to break it with a BB gun, leaving many dings in the glass that will need to be replaced.
Funds raised through this campaign will first be used to replace the windows that were broken and damaged. Any additional funds above that cost will be used to help offset costs for improving the security system for the building and fixing up our exterior lighting. We've had a security walk through in the past from the Walla Walla Police Department and from the security alarm company which both recommended we look at improving exterior lighting.
Our congregation is small and primarily raises funds through membership dues. These dues and our savings have paid for a few major maintenance tasks in the last year including replacing both the roof and the building's furnace. We hope that you can reach out to help us pay for fixing our building after this act of vandalism.
