Tornado ravages beloved local market garden

Hi, my name is Debbie Brann, and my good friends Jackson and Jordan Rolett need your help. Jackson had just finished setting up their new high tunnels when a tornado completely destroyed them on Saturday December 9. Nothing could be salvaged from the mess that the tornado left, and the temperatures are already dipping below freezing. The crops currently planted are in danger, and there is no place now to start spring plants. Their community has promised that if you help us replace the high tunnels, we will help them put them up - again!

The market garden is located on the grounds of our church, making use of productive land that's had no purpose for a long while. For the past year, we have watched Jackson clear the ground, solarize the thick stand of Johnson grass, and plant and tend his crops. They were finally able to start selling at our local farmers market this summer.

Please help us help them rebuild. The money you donate will purchase the high tunnels and plastic needed to get the crops through the winter months and allow them to replant spring vegetables. This was their time to retake what they lost, bringing back their amazing produce to our community. Please help us help them rebuild. The crops are fine, but we'll need to get the high tunnels up before the weather drops any lower.

Jackson and Jordan don't just farm in this community, and they don't just provide us with amazing produce. They are leaders and helpers in our community, and this is our time to return all the hours and miles they've spent helping others to move towards more regenerative farming practices!
