Wing and Laurie's emergency medical recovery fund.

Hi, my name is Sharon Shapiro, a long-time resident of the Sedona/Cornville, AZ area (Verde Valley) and I am starting this fundraiser as a community effort on behalf of our dear friends and community leaders, Wing and Laurie.

Wing and Laurie are in immediate need of these funds to keep Wing in a more conducive space for his healing after major orthopedic surgery. He recently fell, badly breaking his hip and was released from a rehab facility today, Tuesday, January 24th. Hallelujah!

In addition to Wing's recent injury and surgery, Laurie has 2 injured shoulders and has been unable to work or raise her arms for a few months, making Wing the sole breadwinner. They have exhausted their resources.

The money that is raised here will serve as a long-term financial relief for these beautiful people until they are cleared and able to return to work capacity.

As you may know, Wing and Laurie are the founders of SAHA, Sedona Area Homeless Alliance, and have volunteered tirelessly for many years, serving and helping countless underserved individuals and families in the homeless community of Sedona and surrounding areas. They have done this no matter the weather, and especially in the inclement weather, to selflessly serve these people in need. They have filled an incredible need in our area, paying it forward in a huge way. True leaders who have gone to bat time and time again, unwaveringly, as the wonderful examples of humanitarians that they are and model to so many.

These wonderful, generous, selfless, loving, giving, caring, humble earth angels have never asked for anything for themselves, other than for their organization. This is why we are asking today on their behalf.

It is going to take several months for them to get back on their feet after this most devastating accident/injury and very trying time.

They also have much-needed repairs on their vehicle and daily living costs, while they are both recovering from these injuries.
