The Wingers - Veteran Family Seeking Help

We are the Winger family, Gregg, Jen, Colton, incoming daughter, Rylee and our pup Lucy.

Gregg has served honorably in the Us Air Force for the past 3.5 years of his 6 year contract doing his dream job in Security Forces (military cop). As a family we made a difficult decision to stand firm in our conviction to not receive the Covid vaccine even under the mandate set because we felt this was what God was calling us to do and we chose to honor Him. Instantly, Gregg was treated different with this decision.

We are here because the Air Force chose to involuntarily separate us, even after trying for a Religious accommodation and voluntary separation. After months of being drug along with no information regarding our status, on Monday, July 11, 2022, they officially handed us the paperwork to separate and only gave us till Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at 11 am to be fully moved, cleaned and out of our first and only home as a married couple.

I am currently 35 weeks pregnant at high risk with our daughter and we have a 2 year old as well. Regardless of the honorable service for 3.5 years with no marks against his record outside of denying the vaccine, we were given a general discharge under honorable conditions.

We have been denied extended medical coverage (last day of medical coverage was Wednesday, July 13), we did not get paid out for our earned days of leave, finance didn’t pay us our full housing allowance, a large portion of our move is not being covered, and we are now out $7,000 out of pocket in past 3 days to make this move to Texas even possible.

Between unknown medical costs, moving costs, incoming newborn cost and the daily cost of living for our soon to be a family of 4 and our pup, we are at a loss for where to turn. Any amount will be greatly appreciate and honestly help us stay afloat, but even if you can’t we completely understand, so please keep us lifted up in your prayers and if you feel called to, share our story.

We know God is in control of this and He will get the glory at the end. We have already been truly overwhelmed by the love and support we have received from family, friends and strangers. We are so thankful to all of you for taking the time to read this and keeping us in your prayers.
