Wingman: The Francis Rogallo Story
Tax deductible
“Wingman: The Francis Rogallo Story” will be a documentary that tells the inspiring story of an aviation pioneer whose flexible wing concept helped launch aerial sports like hang gliding, paragliding, kite boarding and the modern stunt parachute. It’s a lesson in innovation and perseverance. The story will be told through interviews with Rogallo’s family and friends, people in the aerial sports industry and aviation experts. The documentary project will also include STEM education components for students to help teach the aeronautics and physics behind Rogallo’s flexible wing concept.
We are currently raising money for the first phase of the project which involves capturing interviews with Rogallo’s surviving family members, friends and colleagues while that is still possible.
FFS is serving as a fiscal sponsor helping raise and manage the funds to cover the costs of the documentary, which is being produced by Clay Johnson Productions, Inc. We would appreciate your support of this project by donating here.
FFS's primary mission is to tell the story of the Wright Brothers through community events, education and the commemoration of the world’s very first powered flight in Kitty Hawk, NC and invites and promotes visits to the Wright Brothers National Memorial to see the birthplace of powered flight. FFS also celebrates other innovators in aviation like Francis Rogallo.
