Wings for William

Hi! I’m William. I was born with an unknown genetic syndrome. I spent 105 days in NICU after I was born, and many, many days after that! I have a tracheostomy and a feeding tube, and when you meet me, you will notice that I’m missing my left eye and left ear. You’ll also notice my contagious smile, funny personality, and strong, determined spirit! I’ve faced many battles, but I’m overcoming each one. Recently, I got a virus that compromised my already weak respiratory system. I had three emergency events, and even coded once. The doctors discovered that I needed help to breathe properly. I am now almost completely dependent on a ventilator.

When I got sick, my family was in the process of moving to Seattle, WA, to start a church. I had to be hospitalized in Greenville, SC, and because of my fragile condition, my mom and dad can’t take me home and fly out to Seattle on a commercial flight. My doctors want me to take a specialized medical flight — an ICU on wings — but insurance isn’t going to cover the cost. Would you help me get this flight? Thank you for your help!
