Important Update (11/11/2020)- After covering the costs of rescuing the semi-feral kitten colony, this Go Fund Me campaign will from now on be used to help out as much stray, semi-feral, and feral cats as we can. By donating you are subscribing your email to updates from us and the cats we rescue. Thank you in advance for all the help :)
Important Update (13/10/2020)- I was told today by the WHS Intake that the information we received from them before we started trapping the kittens was false.
We will have to cover the entirety of the following costs: vet bills (for exams, vaccines, flea and ear mite treatment, and blood tests) approx. $1500 + spaying/neutering, if we are accepted at the WHS Snap program it will be approx. $450, if not it will be approx. $1800 + all fostering equipment inc. food and litter until they can be adopted or received by any shelter which is approx. $20 /kitten per week.

Story - On Oct. 8th, my sister and I were made aware of about 15 stray cats living in an abandoned yard in North Winnipeg. Careful plans were made, involving several lovely women, after the cats were assessed to not be feral. Today is Oct. 10th and we were able to trap 10 kittens, hoping to get a few more soon. Unfortunately, every shelter and rescue in and near Winnipeg is maxed out.
Every cat deserves a chance but especially these, all they need is to feel a little love from some responsible fosters and adopters to let their guards down and feel safe. Currently they are staying at very temporary fosters, but we need to get them to the vet (to receive vaccines, get spayed/neutered, and to treat fleas and mites) in order find them longer term fosters and, hopefully, adopters. We would also like to be able to equip the generous fosters with basic necessities such as litter and food. We are currently self-funding and donating cat equipment we already have because we are cat owners.
Your generosity will help us fund vet visits, food, litter, etc... And ultimately help us save these kittens from Winnipeg's harsh winters. (Just for reference, $2 equals a can of food!).
If we have leftover funds, they will go to the rescues where the foster kittens will hopefully be up for adoption.
