Thank you so much to everyone who supported our first fundraiser, launched back in April. With your help we raised more than $26,000 to support our dining staff during the difficult period when they were furloughed due to the pandemic. We were able to send $250 mini-grants to 77 members of the dining staff and $150 mini-grants to 40 members of the dining staff. 


With a 2 month-long winter break ahead of us, we are renewing our fundraising efforts to help William & Mary dining workers impacted by this unusual time. Many workers are unable to find employment during the long winter break and need help paying for rent, food, and monthly bills.


The funds will go directly to William & Mary hourly dining workers who are not compensated during this time and who need financial assistance with living expenses. Workers who have not yet received a mini-grant will be prioritized.

I, Latonya Chamberliss (Cashier at Sadler) would like to first say "Thank You for your donation. "  As an employee of Sodexo at W&M it means a lot to me to be able to come to work and so that I can provide for my family but because of Covid 19 our hours have been cut due to the college having to change their operational hours. That change has had a big financial impact on not only myself but other coworkers. Even through this hardship my coworkers and I remain positive that things will get better and with your donation that makes it a reality.
