Winter Shelter Needed
Tax deductible
We're raising money to benefit Riverton Park United Methodist Church to help dozens of families living in tents during the cold and wet weather here in the greater Seattle area. This funding will go directly to temporary emergency shelter in the form of hotels.
We are asking for $100K which is only enough funding for 25 hotel rooms, for 25 nights - a FRACTION of the actual need. Any donation will help make an impact.
Emergency funding promised by local and state authorities is slow coming, and vastly inadequate. There are dozens of families including babies, young children, teens, all sleeping in tents in 30 degree weather.
If you know of any other spaces (churches, schools, venues) willing to take families indoors during this time, please reach out to us!!
