Winter Swim and International Bivvy Day

We are a group of cold water swimmers from Shropshire Bluetits who on 24th February 2024 are raising money for Kitsquad (awaiting its charity number).

6 of us are doing the Big Welsh Winter Swim in the morning and then 15 of us are sleeping out in Bivvy's overnight as part of International Bivvy Day.

Daz, Alex, Alison, Hannah, Kerrie and Sonya are swimming in Llyn Pardarn Snowdon and then joining Peter, Glenys, Kate, Melina, Theresa, Alyson,Johnathan, Jo and Lisa to sleep out - in February!

Kitsquad takes in donations of surplus outdoor clothing & equipment. Once received its checked out and sent out to those experiencing financial deprivation. People living in poverty are recognised as being one of the under represented groups in our open green spaces and one of the reasons for this is a lack of access to affordable gear.

Kitsquad aims to smash that barrier. Set up in February 2020, we are the only scheme in the UK that supports individuals and families living in poverty in this way. We are based in Atcham in Shropshire.
