Winter Wonderland 2024

Hi, my name is Phil from the Cambs Youth Panel and I'm fund raising for the third annual Winter Wonderland Christmas fair that is being delivered by Cambs Youth Panel in partnership with the CHS Group.

Cambs Youth Panel are a grassroots youth organisation that has delivered an incredible Christmas experience for underprivileged children and families in 2022 and in 2023. Our Christmas fair includes huge larger than life Christmas props, countless Christmas trees, fun and games, free gingerbread and hot-chocolate as well as toys and gifts from Father Christmas.

Every year we give boxes of Lego toys - proper meaningful gifts - via our Father Christmas. It usually costs just over £2000 to buy enough small boxes of Lego and roughly speaking, every £10 donation will gift one toy to one child. CHS Group is aiming t raise £1,000 towards our target of £2,000. Financial donations raised through CHS will contribute towards the cost of the gifts and ensure that this year's Christmas Fair can build on the success we enjoyed last year.

In 2022, 400 children visited our Christmas Fair, and 200 children visited Father Christmas. In 2023, 800 children visited the fair and Father Christmas was again able to gift toys to 200 children.

We distribute tickets for the Father Christmas grotto via support agencies such as social care, the city council, foodbanks, and local school pastoral teams to ensure that they reach those most in need.

This year we are partnering with housing association CHS Group who have an amazing history of delivering relief to families in hardship over Christmas. Working together we will successfully make sure that more children have the opportunity to participate in Christmas.

Please gift what you can afford and only what you can afford. Every £10 donated will give one child a toy at Christmas.
