Wishing Dana Well Project

You don't cross paths with Dana Hawke and forget her easily. She is the kind of person who fills our hearts with joy, our bellies with food, our homes with warmth. She has dedicated her love and energy to so many children, hosting daycare, teaching preschool, and raising two amazing sons, Jordan and Cole. The critical perspective she brings and her fierce compassion make her a force for justice in our community. When you need a place to stay, she will make your bed. When you need a hug, she will hold you. Now, Dana needs your support.

Doctors have found tumors in Dana's body, and they are growing. On June 1st they will perform an invasive hysterectomy that will test for cancer. We are hoping for the best possible outcome, but we want to be prepared.

Fortunately, Dana's insurance covers the surgery. Unfortunately, because of our broken health care system, it does not cover the time she will need to spend recovering in the hospital or the more hollistic treatments she will need to fully heal. By donating to this project, you will be supporting Dana in paying her hospital fees and hiring an herbalist to provide plant-based healing..
