Wishes for Baby Wesley

Together as a community, we are helping raise funds for Tom & Jen Wiebe and their beautiful boys; Ben, Theo and baby Wesley.

At 34 weeks pregnant with their third child, Tom & Jen found out that their unborn baby had a 9cm brain tumour and would not survive to term. A few days later, Jen was admitted to the BC Women’s Hospital and on April 24th they welcomed baby Wesley via C-section. Wesley was born weighing 5lbs 6oz. Despite his condition, he is eating well, smiling and holding hands.

The path forward is unclear at this point - awaiting diagnostic procedures, Jen and Tom are praying for a miracle - hopeful that this massive tumor will be able to be treated, knowing that Wesley is in the best hands possible at BC Childrens.

Tom works in ship building for Seaspan and Jen is a stay at home mom. They are very involved in the New Westminster community. They love being involved in their church and spending time with other New West families. Jen has given countless hours of volunteer work to family organizations such as Family Place, and most recently the President of Queens Park Preschool.

Tom planned to take time off when Wesley arrived (original due date June 1!) but with Wesley’s condition, Tom will need to take a longer amount of time off to support Wesley, take care of Ben & Theo and to support Jen. This leaves little income and any amount donated would help them ensure they can focus on Wesley’s medical journey and time spent as a family.
