Project Teaser:
Hey! We're Tristan and Gareth, the writers of WISP.
WISP is a bold independent 15-minute short film set in 1950’s America. The piece echoes the bright visuals from the musicals and films of the Golden Era of Hollywood. With the post-World War II boom of the 1950's, this film explores themes of family and raising children in a ever-changing world. WISP invites audiences to meet an idyllic and 'perfect' family as they navigate moving into their new lives in Sultan, Washington State.
August, 1953. It is the last day of summer. Here, we meet the Williams family. They have just moved to Sultan, Washington State and are making the most of their time together before work and school resume.
New neighbourhood ... New Job ... New School ...
Everything was perfect ... Until it wasn't. A campfire story come to
life, the Williamses face an unknown evil, one that seems intense on targeting young Christopher.
Inspired by the likes of David Lynch and Stanley Kubrick, WISP will look beyond the veil of the comfortable and delve into darkness.
We have an amazing team together that are passionate about this project. Funds raised are purely for the production of this piece. Funding will go directly towards hiring our location/accomodation, costuming costs, and food for the crew.
Our team has experience in the local film industry, in areas such as costume design, composing, cinematography, set design and much more.
