Book publishing and clothing line

Hi, my name is Ricky Darnell Godfrey. I am a 50 year old hard working man, barely making ends meet. 31 years ago, I was thrown into prison for a crime I stood innocent of. Because of my faith and with the assistance of the support system I built over the years, I came home to my family on April 21, 2023. Today, I still find myself seeking justice in the form of complete exoneration, followed by compensation. Unfortunately, I came home destitute. Totally penniless. Although my job allows me to assist with my portion of bills, it leaves me with No extras.

While wrongly imprisoned, I realized that I needed to better educate myself, considering that I had dropped out of school in the 5th grade with just a fourth-grade education. I worked to obtain my GED and successfully got it. I then realized possessed a talent that I never knew I had. I begin to write, both in the fiction and non-fiction form. At that point, I decided I would write a book about my life and the injustice bestowed upon me when I was just barely 18 years old. I also took an interest in fashion design. I then came up with an idea for my own clothing brand. Now that I am home, I can hardly wait to share with the world, my vision.

Now that I am home, I want to show those who supported me that it was not in vain, and the ones who doubted, that dreams are posibe when they're pursued. I am pursuing these two ambitions because it would allow me to contribute to my community in a positive way. So, I am asking any and everyone who is willing to support me in my effort to become a successful Author and start my own clothing brand, to please donate now.

For my book, I will use between $2,000-$5,000 to edit, typeset, cover design and publish the book on multiple platforms.

With the remaining monies left, I will use it to bring my clothing line alive. This money will also be used to complete the logo, obtain the trademark, purchases of fabrics and to successfully promote and market my brand. All other money remaining, will be invested into a youth program of my choice.
