Help Kim Bury 98 yo Granny & with Medical Expenses

Donation protected

Hello community,
We are sisters-in-Christ with Kim through our small group fellowship and are seeking donations on her behalf. She has been the sole caregiver for her 98 year-old granny and her mom for quite some time. Recently her granny was placed on hospice care and on Friday, June 25th she gained her wings. This has been very hard on Kim emotionally and financially. When her granny turned 98 this past March, she proudly proclaimed “I have 2 more years before I turn 100!” This is something she looked forward to in the latter years of her life. This very thing saddens Kim because she did her best to care for her granny and help her reach that life goal. Now Kim faces the hardship of burying her granny as she has "aged out" of her life insurance.

Not only is Kim faced with burying her granny, but she still has to care for her mother who has numerous medical issues and had emergency surgery at the same time her granny had a stroke and was placed on hospice care. As you can imagine, things have been really stressful for her.

Kim is passionate about and actively involved in advocating, volunteering and encouraging community engagement. She’s an avid community service person who is always serving others. Kim lost her job a few months ago. Although this allowed her to be home and care for the women in her life, it became a financial strain. Shortly after losing her job, Kim started experiencing her own health issues only to find out that she has kidney cancer. It’s hard to imagine how she could continue to care for her granny and mother while facing sure a scary diagnosis. She did just that delaying care for herself.

As you can imagine the expense of burial; care for her mother; and care for herself are expenses that have snowballed and exceed her abilities right now. We are rallying the community to show support for Kim and help her with meeting her financial obligations. She is so used to being the giver and really struggles with receiving. We want her to know that we love her and are here to support her. As a small group, we are not able to provide for all her financial needs so this is why we are asking the community to donate. No donation is too small.

We also ask that you pray for Kim’s healing and that she’s able to obtain all of the resources necessary for burial of her granny; care for her mother; and provisions for her during this period of unemployment.

Thank you so much reading our message.
We thank you for your donation.
May God bless you.
