My name is Jessica Weatherbee, and I hope you’ll take a minute to read my story. In May, a biopsy revealed a growth in my mom, Gwen’s liver. It turned out to be malignant, and she was diagnosed with stage 4 liver cancer. After surgery, and a round of chemotherapy, Gwen’s condition began to unexpectedly worsen, and has continued to do so rapidly. I fear time appears to be running out.

My mom has always been one of the most caring and compassionate people I’ve ever known. Even if I wasn’t her daughter, her reputation preceded herself. Gwen was a woman with a heart of gold, and a kind soul. Her door was always open, her demeanor was always warm and welcoming, and her thoughts were always supportive. Her three children meant more than the world to her, and everyone knew it. In truth, there aren’t many who’d say Mama Gwen didn’t play a positive role in their lives, and everyone loved her for it.

On behalf of my mother, myself, and the rest of my family, we are humbly asking for any donations to help ease the financial burden. All proceeds will go towards any necessary care, services, bills, and any other unforeseen expense.
