With Jacob’s climb from rock bottom

Hello! My name is Jacob and I am 42 years old. I find myself looking for a little help to get back on my feet (asking for help is a new concept to me). If you read the Bible, I am stuck in the middle of Job’s life. I once had it all and lost everything do to mental health issues (depression). If you are an Alcohol Anonymous member, I am stuck in the ‘rock bottom’ scenario found in the later stories in the Big Book. I have worked in the aviation industry for 15 years as both a mechanical engineer and an operations manager. During the later years of my 15, I was down in Georgia and attacked by muggers and hit 5 times in the head with pistols which devastatingly drove my depression to new heights. The attack obviously also gave me PTSD. As life played on, COVID (which I got 3 times) hit and we worked from home. This didn’t pan out too well for me. My alcoholism and depression hit their limits. I was caught up in the mass layoffs from work. After months of not working, suffering from horrible depression, I awoke and found myself in the hospital paralyzed on my left side after being placed in an induced coma for 14 days. The coma was a result of my blood sugar going over 1000. I am a diabetic also. I was able to regain full control of my body after years of rehabilitation. The psychiatrists were able to find a medication that actually worked at the same time. During all of this I received just under $1,000,000 in medical bills due to the fact I was taken to a hospital that was not covered by insurance. Devastated, I had to go file for bankruptcy. I am now Sober for 2 years. April 14 is my sobriety date. I am now mentally and physically strong and ready to get back in the world and be a productive member of society. I have $1 to my name and food stamps in a wallet held together by duct tape. I am currently in the later stages of a mental rehabilitation center and hopefully will get a job in the coming weeks. If you decide to donate, the money will first go to a low cost automobile and second, to the costs associated with renting an apartment. Please help me with this climb up from rock bottom.
