Jeff Zarn Brain Cancer Medical Expenses
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Tracy Longoria and I am the oldest child of Jeff Zarn. My father was officially diagnosed with Glioblastoma, a rare and aggressive type of brain cancer, yesterday. Our family is devastated! He's currently on his third stay in the hospital within the last 3 weeks. The photo I shared was taken yesterday. He's in the ICU because of the extreme amount of swelling in his brain due to the tumor. He's hooked up to IV's to receive steroids to bring down the swelling. He's also being given pain medication for the constant throbbing in his head. It's heartbreaking to see my father like this! My mother and I spent all day yesterday with him at the hospital. He slept most of the day, but was happy to see his wife of 49 years sitting there when he opened up his eyes. My father is a good man and always provided for his family. He's the father of 14 children. I'm the oldest of 7 girls, and the oldest out of all of my siblings. And yes, all of us are my parent's biological children. :) My father was a store manager at Quik Trip for over 30 years and ALWAYS worked hard to provide for his family. Everything that I am, I owe to him. He's the one who taught me to be strong, independent, and the importance of hard work, honesty, and, and integrity. I'm asking for donations to help pay for any additional expenses related to cancer treatment not covered by insurance. This may include travel, food, medications, etc. My parents are going to consult with an oncologist and radiation oncologist today to discuss treatment options. My family wants my father to consult with an oncologist that specializes in glioblastoma, so it's possible we may have to travel. We want my father to receive the best treatment possible and are willing to travel if we have to. My mother is having a hard time right now, but puts on a brave face when she visits my father in the hospital. They have been together since they were 15 years old and I don't want my mother to worry about anything financially. Any amount of donation, even $5, will be greatly appreciated! Please say a prayer for my father. His journey is in God's hands.
Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass. Psalm 37
