#AsiyaForever21 Let's help this beautiful mom, Jessica

Donation protected

My younger sister, Jessica, is the strongest, and best mother in the world. On January 7, 2004 she gave birth to a beautiful daughter, Asiya. Sadly, on January 7, 2025, Asiya passed away on her 21st birthday.

Jessica checked Asiya into UCSF ICU ward for children on Thanksgiving 2024 where they remained, battling for Asiya’s life, until her body succumbed to a rare genetic disorder known as Schimke Immuno-Osseous Dysplasia (SIOD). Only 111 people are on record in the United States as having this very severe affliction. More Info Here: SIOD Google link

Asiya was the sweetest young lady you could ever meet. She made the most of every day even though she had to deal with chronic pain and unimaginable circumstances due to her condition. She loved her family so very much. She loved her dogs, and cats, and would never pass an opportunity to sit on top of a horse or to pet one. When you visit her Facebook page, Link - Asiya's FB page , you can see how she delighted in flowers and the beauty of nature. She was also an artist. Her paintings portray her innocence and her eye for pretty, happy scenery. Anyone who had the privilege of meeting Asiya, was touched by her sweet and pure spirit. She was truly a ray of sunshine.

As you can imagine, it is very emotionally and financially draining to press on each and every day when your child has such a rare condition. The on-going surgeries, the emergencies, the bone marrow transplant, the dialysis routine, and the hospital stays were a constant part of Jessica’s daily life. Through most of it, she managed to hold down a full-time job and raise two great children, without asking for help. However, the last few years of Asiya’s life came with too many challenges, and Jessica could not work, or keep up with the financial burdens. I hope that sharing my sister’s story will inspire people to help lighten her load.

I am VERY GRATEFUL for any contributions you can give to help with the mounting expenses Jessica has been facing all alone. This is a heart wrenching time for her, and she is in need of funds, not only to pay for the memorial service, but to catch up with rent, and car repairs. If we all contribute just a little, our contributions will make a mountain of difference for Jessica, who just lost the battle of a lifetime in keeping her daughter alive.

Please forward this information via social media to your friends, family, and co-workers. This is an authentic need, and an authentic single mother in crisis. All funds go directly to help Jessica with the memorial, rent and car repairs. THANK YOU DEEPLY, for your consideration and for passing this forward.

Donations will be used for:
1. Rent: Throughout the years Jessica kept full-time employment. Often working swing shifts so she could care for Asyia by day, and work at night. SIOD mandates many long stays in the hospital for operations and immune therapies. You can imagine, after so many family leave days, it is hard to stay employed. The last year was especially challenging. Needless to say, Jessica’s rent is behind, and she needs help as soon as possible. As we all know, living expenses don’t take care of themselves when we have a tragedy to live through. By coming together, the community will change the outcome for my sister, Jessica, who has been through so much.

2. Auto Repairs: Jessica’s car is now on its last leg from driving from Fremont to San Francisco 4-5 days per week, four years in a row. UCSF was the only hospital equipped to handle the special dialysis needs of Asiya. This is a round trip of 76 miles 240 days per year, for four years making it a grand total of 960 days and about 73,000 miles on an already used car. The car is having numerous mechanical issues, and Jessica desperately needs reliable transportation as she begins searching for work again.

3. Celebration of life: The Celebration of Life is planned for March 1st, 2025. There are cremation costs, and fees to rent a space large enough for everyone. Although her life was short, Asiya managed to touch many people with her grace, and we would like everyone join us as we honor her.

Thank you again for supporting my sister, Jessica, during this tragic time. She is an exceptional lady, the kind of mom every child needs, and a believer in Christ. She gives her best each step of the way. Thank you with all our hearts for your monetary contributions and passing this message forward to your community of supporters.

This is one charity situation where you know the right person will receive the funds and your help actually takes a beautiful, young mom out of crisis. Your gift today is immediate and impactful.

Please send a prayer to for Jessica. She needs all the loving, kind energy out there.

Love,
Alex (Jessica’s sister)
