Update 3/8/24

On the eve of week two of Andrea’s accident, here’s a quick summary of how things are developing. The combi and is next in line to get checked out to see what can be done to put it back in service or not and the cost to do either. Andrea’s speech has improved greatly, which indicates a reduction in brain inflammation. She is walking more often at home wearing a brace as directed by her medical team to aid healing the injuries of the spine.

On Saturday, February 24th, 2024, our beloved friend and owner of Olla Express Café, Andrea, got into a devastating accident while on her way to a catering event. She was driving Olla’s famous combi which, unfortunately, will require lots of external and internal repairs. And although she has been home from the hospital since last week, Andrea underwent painful injuries to her brain and spine that will require her to rest for a while.

The funds will aid any extra medical bills as they arise as well as any expenses to repair the combi.

In addition to donating, Andrea, her family and her Olla Express team would appreciate very much sharing the link to this Go Fund me and continue to support her by enjoying a cup of coffee or two at her shop at 821 E. Quincy.
