Snacks, fruit and other goodies for our classroom

Hi, my name is Nicole, and I'm a high school teacher in the inner city of Detroit. I'm raising funds to buy snacks (granola bars, fresh fruit and other not-too-unhealthy snacks), cups, small Vaseline and lotion containers and supplies for my classroom throughout the school year.

I have realized that having snacks and goodies for students helps improve the classroom environment and mood. Kids need snacks, the school day is long and many of us often don't get enough food.

Often I would have a small "Take What You Need"-container with vaseline, lip balm, hand lotion, soap, and deodorant. The container never stayed filled for more than a few hours.

Y'all already know that teacher salaries don't allow us to keep our snack cabinets filled.
