Save this home from the danger of lead!

My name is Kelli and in 2022 I had the honor of meeting the Zemke family after they moved into our neighborhood. Joslyn, Adam, Jaxson, Alivia, Audyn, and Evan along with Adams's parents, Pat and Bob, moved into an old house on the block. This house was perfect for their family due to the fact that Joslyn cares for Pat full-time. My two children quickly bonded with their four children, and I quickly bonded with Joslyn. Joslyn is walking sunshine, and no matter what she was facing in her life (and it has been a lot) she always had time to give a smile and a friendly word. I am in awe of her perseverance and iron will when it comes to protecting her children. Please read her story below and consider donating to this wonderful family so they can make their home safe again.
From Joslyn:
In 2021, shortly after the birth of our 4th child, a series of unfortunate and life-changing events occurred to our family and we moved into a home that was built in the 1800's. With that move, it thrust a new set of unfortunate events into motion. Due to the lead paint in the house, our new home is making our two youngest children sick with lead poisoning. Due to the increased lead levels, the health department will no longer let our baby live here, and if it is not addressed soon we run the risk of having our house condemned. If this happens the 6 will be displaced completely. We need the lead removed quickly through an abatement process. Please help us reach our goal so we can make our home healthy, safe and get our family together again.
We have received several quotes from various contractors to do the work on the floors ($9,000), the doors ($20,000), the windows ($104,000), and other costs associated with displacement during the abatement process.
Please consider donating to this wonderful family!
